Professor J.D. Agarwal

Prof. J. D. Agarwal
Prof. J.D. Agarwal, Ph.D. from Delhi School of Economics Honorary "Doctor of Economics", Tashkent Finance Institute, Uzbekistan is Founder Chairman, Indian Institute of Finance. He is a leading financial expert, eminent economist and thinker. He is also Chief Editor of Finance India - the prestigious quarterly journal of finance.

In his 35 years of professional career Prof. Agarwal has taught in several institutions like Cleveland State University, USA,Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, Delhi School of Economics, and Shri Ram College of Commerce etc. Besides, he has lectured in several institutes globally including London Business School, London School of Economics, Harvard University, MIT, Univ. of Maryland at College Park, FIU, Memphis Univ., Syracuse University, National University, Singapore.

Dr. He has significantly contributed to enrich the discipline through hundreds of research papers and articles, more than 13 books and editing over 70 issues of Finance India.
His views, opinions and analysis on Economic & Financial Policies often appear on TV, All India Radio and Leading National dailies. Several of his suggestions have been adopted by the government including change in the timings of budget presentation from 5 p.m. to forenoon. (The Economic Times, 26th May, 1998)
