May 7th, 2011, IIF Delhi, Noida & G-Noida : “Indian Institute of Finance (IIF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Foreign Trade University (FTU) at Hanoi, Vietnam to further the cause of research and education in the field of Finance on 6th May, 2011 at the FTU.
The MoU signed between the Foreign Trade University and Indian Institute of Finance has been furthered in connection with our Chairman Board of Governors - Prof. J. D. Agarwal's visit to Hanoi for attending the 44th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governor's Annual Meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The academic collaboration would further the cause of enriching research in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Foreign Trade and Financial Economics, conduction of joint seminars, training programs and exchange programs at both faculty and student levels. This would also help build stronger Socio-cultural ties between the two nations and its people.

The Foreign Trade University, estabilished in 1960, has developed from a single university to a multi-disciplinary university with diversified and competitive programs which are highly adaptable to the process of International integration in Vietnam and the World Economy. In 2006, FTU has been awarded Golden Cup"Viet Brand"by Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA). The Department of Foreign Trade, which is in Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics and Finance under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was formally established in 1960. On 20th June, 1962, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong signed a Decree to separate the Faculty of International Relations from the University of Economics and Finance and establish the University of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, which is under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The mission of the Foreign Trade University (FTU) is to nurture talents and provide high-quality human resources specializing in economics, international business, business administration, finance and banking, technology, and foreign languages to create and transfer state-of-the-art knowledge, develop learning and research capabilities and professional working methods in an internationally competitive environment; disseminate expertise and experience to meet the demand of the business community and economy; and become a centre for cultural and educational exchange among countries all over the world.
IIF is its First few Indian Academic Partner along with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT - in 2008) in the World from amongst 120 partners from USA, UK, Sweden, Spain, Russia, Norway, Netherland, Germany, France, Denmark, Belarus, Columbia, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Lao PDR, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, India, China & Combodia.
Agreement was signed between Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Chau, President, Foreign Trade University (FTU) and Prof. J. D. Agarwal, Chairman Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Finance (IIF), seconded by Prof. Tho Dinh Nguyen, Vice-President, FTU and Prof. Aman Agarwal, Vice-Chairman IIF during their visit to Vietnam.
Other faculty of FTU Vietnam gracing the historic moment were Dr. Dao Thi Thu Ha (Deputy Manager, International Affairs & Lecturer FTU), Ms. Hang Thu Nguyen (FTU), Ms.Van Cam Ha (FTU), Ms. Dzung Phuong Nguyen (DAV) and other senior professors.
