5 , IIF, New Delhi : Indian Institute of Finance
& the Saint-Petersburg Academy of Management and Economics
(Russia) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
to further the cause of research and education in the
field of Financial Economics on 5th September 2007 at
Saint-Petersburg Academy of Management and Economics Campus
in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The
MoU signed between Saint-Petersburg Academy of Management
and Economics and Indian Institute of Finance has been
furthered in connection with our Chairman Prof. J. D.
Agarwal's visit to deliver the Opening Keynote Speech
at the Russian Academy of Science IPME Scientific Conference
on 4th September 2007 in St. Petersburg [The text of his

The
academic collaboration would further the cause of enriching
research in Financial Economics, conduction of joint and
exchange programs at both faculty and student levels.
This would also help build stronger socio-cultural ties
between the nations and its people.
The
Saint-Petersburg Academy of Management and Economics Russia,
a state-run institution of higher education of the Russian
Federation Ministry of Education and Science founded in
1990, intends to take the state educational system and
qualitatively new level of experts in training and research.
The
agreement was signed between Prof.Victor A Gnevko, Rector,Saint-Petersburg
Academy of Management and Economics and Prof. J. D. Agarwal,
Chairman IIF, seconded by Prof. Alekset Kiroyashkim, Vice-Rector,
and Prof. Aman Agarwal, Vice-Chairman IIF during their
visit to the Institute.
The
following other SPAME Russia gracing the historic moment
were Deans of schools of the University - Prof. Vladimir
Rokhchin (Vice-Rector, Scientific Activities), Prof. Vyacheslav
Bakharev (Vice-Rector, Development), Prof. Elena Ivleva
(Dean, Faculty of Economics and Finance), Prof. O A Grunin
(Dean, Faculty of Management), Prof.Yakov Margulyan (Dean,
Faculty of Social Management) and a series of other senior
professors and deans. The deans present at this occasions
represented the Faculty of Economics and Finance, Faculty
of Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Management
and Faculty of Institute of Presidential Training and
Development.
