Seminar on Organisational Restructuring and Beyond

In todays globalised milieu of business, restructuring and re-engineering of organisations have become the 'buzzwords' being used as a recipe for those needing the change said Prof. V. Gautam, Professor, IIT Delhi while addressing a seminar at Institute of Finance on " Organisational Restructuring and Beyond",

According to Prof. Gautam organisationl restructuring required building up relationships between the basic building blocks and the realign relationships keeping in mind the objectives of the organisation.

Restructuring, accroding to him, is an organic process and does not require an externl agent. Restructuring also requires to refine the effectiveness to achieve excellence and involves static and dynamic aspects of a business but can not alter the nature of enviroment.

Accroding to him in any restructuring exercise, we need to foresee the future by going beyond a situation , spruce up our system, create psyche governed by good value systems reminding ourselves of social responsibility. Prof. Gautam emphasised that a community which can not produce mortars for the cause which it holds dear is doomed for destruction.
