Seminar
on Challenges for Managers & Liberalization |
The
challenges for managers yet to be acknowledged by the Indian
Manager. They are living in a protected market. Attitudes have
to be changed if Indian Companies have to face-up the challenges
of multinational corporation both within the country and abroad,
said Mr. K.S. Ramachandran, Senior Editor (Economics), Financial
Express in a seminar on "Challenges for Managers &
Liberalization" at Indian Institute of Finance Delhi.
He
said, as of now Indian managers are only looking in terms of
facilities to their counter parts in terms of salaries and perks.
They have yet to recognize that the real parity likes competitive
entrepreneurship for years from now. The intellectual property
rights provisions will have to be stringently enforced. The
Indian manufacture will have serious problems coping with claims
of multinational producers. We have to recognize the need for
national acceptance Manager must begin to think globally and
should not be settled for the short sighted measures of getting
dollars based salaries, said MR. Ramachandran.
