Seminar on Challenges for Managers & Liberalization

The challenges for managers yet to be acknowledged by the Indian Manager. They are living in a protected market. Attitudes have to be changed if Indian Companies have to face-up the challenges of multinational corporation both within the country and abroad, said Mr. K.S. Ramachandran, Senior Editor (Economics), Financial Express in a seminar on "Challenges for Managers & Liberalization" at Indian Institute of Finance Delhi.

He said, as of now Indian managers are only looking in terms of facilities to their counter parts in terms of salaries and perks. They have yet to recognize that the real parity likes competitive entrepreneurship for years from now. The intellectual property rights provisions will have to be stringently enforced. The Indian manufacture will have serious problems coping with claims of multinational producers. We have to recognize the need for national acceptance Manager must begin to think globally and should not be settled for the short sighted measures of getting dollars based salaries, said MR. Ramachandran.
