The Institute of Economic Studies (IES) has presented awards for excellence in education and industries and exports.

     At the seminar on role of education in economic development, the Shiksha Rattan award were given away to Dr. P.V. Ranga Rao, Andhra Pradesh minister for primary and secondary education for his services to the spread of value-based education.

     Hotal Ashok bagged the gold star award.

     An award was also given to Dr. S. Chona, principal of the Delhi Public School at R.K. Puram for her work in multi-disciplinary education programmes.

     Prof. J.D. Agarwal, director of the Indian Institute of Finance also received an award.

     Prabhas Misra of Indian Biolers Limited received the Udyog Rattan award.
